Eliminate hot and cool spots in your home

An energy efficient home will automatically eliminate hot and cool spots in your home, which can be quite uncomfortable during the extreme seasons such as winter and summer. 1. Switch to "Fan on" at the thermostat. Hot and cool spots are usually a sign of poor circulation through the ducts at some areas. This can be caused by improperly designed ductwork, an oversized heating and/or cooling system, or a poor location for the thermostat. By running the fan all the time at the thermostat, air is allowed to circulate while the system is not heating or cooling. 2. Have a RepairMax technician adjust for proper airflow at your furnace. It could be possible to increase the fan speed at the blower motor. Dont attemp this yourself as there are usually other adjustments that become required such as the level of freon and/or damper adjustment.
